Youth Worker / Mentor

We are looking to employ a Youth Worker / Mentor that has experience in working with at-risk young people and whanau.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Relevant qualification in youth work, sport & recreational, health, mental health or social work.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care
- Physically fit
- Full clean NZ drivers licence
- Meet vetting requirements (police check etc.)
- NZ citizen or permanent resident
- Strong team player and positive role model
- Demonstrate initiative and sound judgement, with the ability to ‘think on your feet’
- Experienced in developing a rapport quickly with young people and whanau
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good computer literacy / typing skills
- Be self directed in work practices
- Experienced in working in Maori and Pacific communities
